Research: Music Video Genre History.

Music Video genre has developed a lot over the years, entertaining more people to a wider audience through all different genres. Music and moving images have now come together to create music videos, which can now be seen as mini films. One of the first models for promoting music was the french version of a video jukebox that was very popular in the early 1960's, and now we have the privilege of watching the music videos on a 32" screen. Top of the Pops then started to use them to promote the video and artist which was a substitute for when the band was on tour. Finally, MTV was launched  and artists began the need to see promos for each release. Changes in the technology and cable market appeared, which enabled other companies to set up channels.
