Genre of Music Videos.

I have decided to use the video by Tinie Tempah feat Wiz Khalifa 'Till I'm Gone'. This is because i think it works within the conventions of a music video and appeals to the public.

Firstly there is a relatioship between the lyrics and the visuals, this is because of how the song is about leaving a female, which we see at the beginning of the girl leaving the car, and Tinie driving off from an over the shoulder shot. Which then leads onto what he is doing now he has gone, which is seeing his friends, and doing what he wants.

This particular music genre does have there own music video style. This style is pop which is known for the bright lights, and on location. Here the whole video seems to be on location, and in the very expensive city of New York, expressing how rich Tinie is.There is always the artist in the forefront of the screen, promoting himself and his video. There are a lot of close ups of the artist, in different locations, which makes this interesting but makes you understand who the artist is.

There is a slight hint of voyeurism in the fact that at the beginning we see the female in extremely short shorts, and receive a medium shot of her bottom half, which follows the conventions of the music video. The camera shots do have an impact on the meaning, that the song is about the main artist and how he is leaving. Nearly all the shots are of the artists, showing this song revolves around him.
