Looking at Adele's font and colour, I chose this because the photograph behind it is black and white, and so is ours. The writing is in capitals and has a bold font, the word isn't ruining any of the photograph and links rather well to the whole image. Another reason why it links is because the colour of the word is grey which I found rather sophisticated to connect with her genre and style. To me this will also appeal to the audience because it isnt too busy, it easy to look at, and is in the correct place on the image to be noticed.
This album cover has been chosen because I find this style of font incredibly interesting. It is extremely feminine because of the curves within the font, and will appeal to more females. Also it is quite a playful and fun font, which to me would appeal to the younger population. The fact that the word is in the top left hand corner makes me wonder, because I would have thought that the name of the album would have been bigger to catch peoples attention. However the photograph seems to do this with how bright it is, but the font gives the audience the knowledge of who the artist is, but doesn't over power the cover. The white of the font is simple yet effective, because it works within the whole image of the artist and the cover. This is because the font is basic, not noisy, and sophisticated, just like the artist.
I have chosen this album cover purely based on the fact that there is no name of the album cover, but a small symbol, that to me could mean anything. I find this interesting because although there is no name to the album, you already know who the artist is, the orange colour is extremely eye catching, and how the photograph fades towards the face makes this album cover rather intriguing without needing a word. Its different to most album covers on the shelf, and will attract people, because of how it separates itself from over albums.
Joanna.
